Privacy policy

Effective date: 2 November 2026

The short version

  • You don't need an account to play.
  • I don't collect any personal information about you.
  • There are no ads, no analytics and no tracking in the game.
  • Your scores, whistles, missions and settings are saved only on your device.
  • If you buy something, Apple or Google handle the payment. I never see your payment details.

Who I am

Kerb Kicker is made by Stefan Small, an independent developer based in London, United Kingdom. In this policy, "I", "me" and "my" mean Stefan Small, and "the game" means the Kerb Kicker app for iPhone, iPad and Android.

If you have any questions about your privacy, email me at hello@kerbkicker.co.uk.

What information the game collects

None. Kerb Kicker doesn't ask for your name, email address, age, location or any other personal information, and it doesn't send information about you or how you play to me.

There is no sign-up and no account to create.

What's stored on your device

To remember your progress, the game saves a few things on your phone or tablet:

  • your best scores
  • the golden whistles you've collected
  • your missions and which balls you've unlocked in the Kit Room
  • your settings, such as sound and music

This information stays on your device. It isn't sent to me or anyone else. If you delete the game, this information is deleted with it, and I can't get it back for you.

No ads, no analytics, no tracking

This version of Kerb Kicker:

  • doesn't show adverts
  • doesn't use analytics tools to measure how you play
  • doesn't track you across other apps or websites
  • doesn't use your device's advertising identifier
  • doesn't sell or share any information about you

In-app purchases

Some items in the game can be bought with real money. These purchases are handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play, using the account you already have with them. I never see or receive your name, card details or other payment information. Apple and Google only tell the game that a purchase was successful, so it can unlock what you bought.

Apple and Google process your payment under their own privacy policies:

Notifications

The game may ask whether you'd like to receive notifications, such as a reminder that new missions are waiting. They're entirely optional and are only sent if you say yes. You can turn them off at any time in your device's settings. Allowing notifications doesn't give me any personal information about you.

Leaderboards

Kerb Kicker may offer leaderboards through Apple Game Center (on iPhone and iPad) or Google Play Games (on Android). These services are run by Apple and Google, not by me. If you're signed in to one of them, your score and your Game Center or Play Games player name may be shared with that service and shown to other players on the leaderboard. Apple and Google handle this under their own privacy policies, linked above, and you can manage or turn off these services in your device's settings.

Children

Kerb Kicker is not directed at children under 13. The game doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you're a parent or guardian and have any concerns, please email me.

Your rights under UK data protection law

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018, you have rights over your personal information, including the right to ask what information is held about you, to have it corrected or deleted, and to object to how it's used.

Because the game doesn't collect personal information, I won't hold any about you from playing it. If you email me, I'll use your email address and message only to reply to you, and I'll delete our conversation when it's no longer needed. My lawful basis for this is my legitimate interest in answering your questions.

If you're unhappy with how I've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk. I'd be grateful if you'd contact me first so I can try to put things right.

This website

The kerbkicker.co.uk website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking. It's hosted by Netlify, which, like any web host, may briefly keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) to keep the site running securely.

Changes to this policy

If I change how the game handles information, for example by adding adverts, analytics or online features, I'll update this policy before those changes go live and change the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, I'll also let you know in the game or in the app store update notes.
